EVERYONE THAT HAS SEEN IT ALSO LIKED IT.
WILL I PASS THE WORD OUT ON IT.
HAVE A GREAT THANKSGIVING."
Note the hole in my faring (or dash) was 2" or 51 mm
(best to re-check this though) I bench tested the unit in situ before
mounting the holder (thus avoiding the possibility of cutting an
irreparable hole in the dash), it worked just find locating the GPS
connection even with a full plexiglass wind screen in place.
It then reported the correct direction from any points
on it's compass face (checked by mechanical compass).
The holder required removing the offending tabs, I sent a picture
of my little narrow bladed cut off saw/minigrinder used to trim these,
took about 4-5 minutes. I found that the 1/8 drill holes, placed side by side
then connected with a lateral stroke of the drill as suggested to be used
for wire feed worked but the next size down gave a tighter fit (7/64).
The holder was then siliconed in place.

I used a plastic mud flap for the mounting plate.
I wanted it centered so this is what I came up with.
I just took your compass for a serious test run. Here's what I did ...
18 days, 7812 miles, 2 countries, 19 states.
(IN IL MO IA NE SD WY ID MT WA OR CA NV AZ UT CO NM TX OK)
- thru chilly snow capped mountains to record heat in the Mojave desert.
The compass worked flawlessly, every day, all day.
On 2 occasions my map program and compass disagreed,
I went with the compass and it was correct both times,
the map app was confused.
Thanks for a great product.
